Nostalgia packed into a tiny bottle.
If you aren’t familiar with Rahasya Fragrances, they’re a niche fragrance house run by Indians and based out of Singapore. I actually stumbled upon them while searching for a tea fragrance (because, let’s be honest, there can never be too many tea fragrances for me) and the rest is, as they say, history.
Baraamda, their India-exclusive launch in collaboration with sneaker brand Gully Labs, genuinely took me by surprise. In a market saturated with repetitive DNAs, this one quietly holds its own.
Inspired by royal Indian courtyards, Baraamda feels like a painting come to life - verandahs lined with fruit-laden trees, warm stone, and air thick with the scent of blooming florals.
To me, however, this perfume feels like the first day of summer holidays in the late ’90s or early 2000s. You’re at home, sprawled on the floor, eating the first mango of the season or sipping on a cold glass of aam panna, binge-watching Cartoon Network. That, right there, is peak nostalgia.
Here’s the official note breakdown:
Top Notes: Mango, Cypress, Lime, Peach
Heart Notes: Osmanthus, Rose Taif, Magnolia, Orris, Black Pepper
Base Notes: Mysore Sandalwood, Vanilla, Olibanum, Ambrette, Oud, Musk
Like I mentioned earlier, I get a lot of mango - but it sits right at that sweet spot between green and ripe. It’s balanced by a soft peachiness, making the opening feel juicy without tipping into syrupy. This slowly melts into a floral heart before settling into a gently woody base. I don’t get much oud here, but there’s a subtle creaminess from the sandalwood that ties everything together beautifully.
It’s a deliciously balanced summer scent that never gets heavy or cloying.
It opens with a bit of projection before settling into a soft, intimate scent bubble. Longevity isn’t the strongest, which honestly makes the 30 ml format make perfect sense - you can just throw it into your bag and reapply on the go. I genuinely wish more brands did this. Also, love that they kept the Rahasya cap.

Pro tip: opt for COD - the bottle does take a while to arrive.
A "scent"-ient being.
