Powdery, musky
So, I went to meet a friend of mine. the meeting was long overdue, and I was in a rush, dressed in whatever felt effortless. My hand instinctively reached out for this perfume.!
The day was sun-drenched, almost unforgiving. We found refuge in a cafe, settling into the brief relief of shade and AC. Then, almost absentmindedly, she began to sniff the air… She looked at me and said, “Oh God, is that you? You smell so good!”
She added, “You smell so sophisticated, like you’ve just stepped out of a bath.”
All through the meeting, she couldn’t stop gushing about how good I smelled🤓
I’ll try painting a picture for those who haven’t yet had a chance to sniff it:
Imagine a classroom wrapped in tangible silence in the morning hours, and you are the first to arrive. The chalkboard looms at the front, faintly dusted with the ghost of an earlier day’s lecture. The room isn’t untidy, but the windows are shut, and the air feels suspended, unmoving.
The air carries a discernible scent of chalk mingled with a fine, almost imperceptible layer of dust. There’s a sense of dryness to it, slightly suffocating, but in the gentlest way. It is muted and immersive, like inhaling chalk powder; it settles gently into your throat with each breath, leaving a faint trail of aftertaste.
And then there’s you, freshly bathed, dressed in a crisp white shirt washed in a mild floral detergent. The scent doesn’t project loudly. Your hair carries a soft trace of shampoo, a whisper of body cream, barely there, but lending a subtle creaminess to the composition. The room holds new, unpainted furniture that exudes the scent of raw wood.
While it might not sound conventionally appealing, it is incredibly well rounded, very balanced and curiously comforting. Not harsh, but quietly present: clean, aesthetic, airy. An everyday wear, the kind you reach for instinctively!
A brief note breakdown:
Top notes: gardenia, white rose
Middle note: musk
Base notes: white cedar extract, cedar, vetiver
