Too creamy; too sunlit !
There seems to be a small, insistent nerve within us, feeding us templates—how to feel, when to feel, what belongs where? If only we could hush it for a moment, we might witness how beautifully everything dissolves into everything else, how seamlessly the edges blur. All the neat divisions would simply fall apart and there were really no protocols if we followed our instincts.
Anyway, At first, I hesitated. It felt almost too creamy, thick with lactones since the coconut here is settled, warm, and indulgent. With coconut notes, it should ideally be tropical , but it refused to be light, instead, it blooms into something dense and sweet. If is comforting, Almost balmy ! A little like sunscreen on sun-warmed skin, layered with white florals and something faintly edible/gourmand, but not quite ! 🤷♀️And so i was uncertain, if it is a winter perfume or a summer delight, or perhaps it lives best in transit where seasons seamlessly overlap into one another.
And yet i wore it anyway for it alone harmonized perfectly with the elegance of my white Chikankari ! 😝 and, to my surprise, it felt… pretty ! 🤩 Feminine , ssoft, , settling, enveloping, almost like something you could taste rather than merely smell. A contradiction of tropical and wintry, light and dense, familiar and elusive !
And so from now on i will perhaps allow things to arrive as they are, instead of how they are meant to be
With temperature hovering between 35-40, it stays on skin for a good 5-6 hours. It’s a room filler for the first couple of hours then settles into a projection within a foot’s radius, with occasional whiffs lingering throughout the day !
